It’s getting to be Mistletoe time, the temperature changes are affecting the condition of your lips, and the lip products wear! I am going  to share some tips to keep your lips moisturized, and kissably soft…. AND a few lip tricks I have up my sleeve:) One of my clients yesterday loved my liner hack, and I am going to share that with you tonight! So, get comfy, relax and enjoy a little escape from your busy evening:)

Let’s Start with Lip Treatments:

Sephora Lip Mask: Costs 3.00, leaves your lips visibly softer, and feels amazing!!! Check it Out Here

I make my own lip scrub with coffee grounds and chocolate:) but if you are not into DYI…. then I highly suggest any Philosophy lip scrubs!   Lips are just as important to exfoliate as the skin…. don’t neglect them!

Here is a Link to one I found on sale for 9.00…Get it Here

I put this Balm on my Lips Every Night, and in the morning to prep my lips while doing the rest of my makeup! With continued use, I have DEFINITELY noticed a plumper shape to my lips!

Here is a link for you to read more about it

The best price I have found is on Amazon, but you didn’t hear that from me:)

Color Application:

You will always photograph beautifully, pull off a natural yet enhanced look, and be confident in your lip color if you find 2 lip pencils, and a lip cream and do as follows.

The first one should be 2 shades darker than your natural lip tone, the second should be one shade darker than your lip tone… pulling out the pink tone or rosy tone of your lips.

Here is the trick that my client loved!

(We didn’t prime her lips, but if you love a good lip primer… BITE makes the best one I have used!)

1.We outlined the shape of her lips with the pencil 2 shades darker( we used her MAC pencil)… I do not believe in over-lining, but I do believe in drawing that line so it bumps right up to the outer edge of your lip. DO this for top and bottom lip! She looked at me like …. For real honey? But then we did this magic trick:)

2. Get the liner that is one shade closer to your lip tone and using upward strokes on lower lip, downward strokes on upper lip… blend it into the darker line you made, until you see them blend together, and lip is filled in with the one shade lighter pencil… NO visible lines! (Use a gentle feathering touch)

3. Finish your Lip Look with a plumping lip cream like THIS ONE.

(the color is more nude than this link displays, trust me, it is a universally flattering cream/gloss texture)

WHY a lip cream you ask???? Good, I am so glad you did… Because you are only applying it to the lower lip, and pressing lips together,  AND it is less sticky then regular glosses, the plumping payoff is amazing, it tastes good, and photographs better than a translucent gloss!

So, there you have it! Go play and have some fun!

TE trick for lips that last: We layered 3 coats of that Benefit stain I told you about in another post…:) before applying the liner. Not necessary, but I was teaching her how to do her makeup for photos.  Dimension is so important, and that is one way we achieved it, while increasing the wear of her lip color!
