I am talking about one of my favorite topics right now! I believe we buy less cosmetic products if we take proper care of our skin! Let’s not only fight the signs of aging, let’s save yourself some money!

Here are my rules that you just can’t break okay?:)

  1. ALWAYS wash your face before bed! If you just can’t manage that… then keep a pack of Ole Henriksen Vitamin C Serum cleansing cloths( or Neutrogena if you have sensitive skin)  in the drawer on your nightstand… wash your face while you are laying in your bed… but girl please, wash that face.
  2. EXFOLIATE a minimum of 2 times a week! I use Microdermabrasion formulas! My two favorites are by Rodan and Fields, and Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion. There is something about the Exuviance that makes my skin so soft and glowy!
  3. Make a SERUM COCKTAIL! I swear by Lancome Genefique eye and face serum. I have made a personal goal of switching my skincare to organic and natural, as I find products that work for me! I am having such a hard time letting these two go. I have used them both for 2 years now, and it keeps fine lines around the eyes away, and keeps your skin smooth and tight!  These two serums serve as a prepping agent so your other serums absorb better! Your cocktail should include a vitamin c serum, a serum with peptides, and a non irritating Retinol serum. (1 pump of each)These three combined fight all the signs of aging including age spots, fine lines, loss of firmness, and brightness, and you ultimately use less product by combining them, which allows them to last longer!
  4. EYE CREAM: As I mentioned before, I use Lancome Genefique eye, let it absorb, then I use firming eye creams at night. Firming eye creams are generally creamier and thicker. I don’t care for them during the day, so I use Genefique, and a de-puffing eye cream in the morning!
  5. SLEEP MASK at NIGHT ( after serum cocktail has absorbed), Cream with SPF for the DAY! I love sleep masks with Hyaluronic acid. You just wake up with better skin… I promise! My favorite one is by Osmotics called Sleep tight. It is an investment, but it lasts a really long time! They suggest 2-3 times a week, but I do it every night:) You should never leave the house during the day, even in the winter, without an SPF in your face cream! If you have sensitive skin, I always suggest (with every product) to test a small spot near your jawline before applying to the whole face!

Just a few more tips from me:)

Don’t rub product into hands and then apply to face… apply it gently directly to your face with your fingertips.

Always apply eye cream with ring finger or your pinky finger… always PAT inward, never rub or tug!

Keep de-puffing eye cream in the refrigerator, it aids in eliminating puffiness rapidly.

Do your skincare routine AM and PM!

You are never too young to fight aging! I started using anti aging products in my 20’s and I am so thankful that I did!

1 pump will do you! Don’t apply too much onto your face, it will not help the product to work quicker!

Get regular facials! They are a total game changer, and she will help you to determine your personalized skin care needs!
